About the Role
As an Audit Manager, you will manage a diverse charity-specific client
portfolio, overseeing workflow and delivering exceptional service. You will
play a pivotal role in supporting charitable organisations and making a
tangible impact on the communities they serve.
Key Responsibilities
Client and Audit Management
- Oversee
planning, prioritisation, and delivery of audit work to ensure efficient
workflows and adherence to agreed budgets.
- Manage
a portfolio of charity and not-for-profit clients, ensuring compliance
with Charity SORP, UK GAAP, and ISA requirements.
- Act as
the primary contact for client queries, delivering proactive, value-added
advice.
- Collaborate
with internal teams to address client needs across other service areas,
such as tax and advisory.
- Ensure
all compliance requirements are met, including AML, KYC reviews, and
engagement letters.
- Oversee
the work and development of junior members of staff.
- Help further
develop the practiceβs charity audit offering.
Requirements
Charity & NFP Audit Manager Canterbury
We are looking for a qualified accountant who thrives in audit and
shares our passion for supporting the charity and not-for-profit sector. The
ideal candidate will be:
- Qualified:
ACA or ACCA qualified with experience in statutory audit.
- Sector
Specialist: Knowledge and experience of Charity SORP is essential.
- Experienced:
Previous responsibility for a portfolio of clients, including preparation
and review of charity accounts.
- Client-Focused:
Strong client service and communication skills.
- Organised:
Excellent time management, attention to detail, and accuracy.
- Collaborative:
A team player with strong mentoring and leadership abilities.
