A wide salary range is posted for this position and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and state seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. While most salary offers are made within the posted range, occasionally an offer is made below or above the posted range based upon this salary analysis.

Position Summary:

Adult education serves thousands of adults 17 and older in need of a high school credential, improved English language skills and job upskilling that will lead to meaningful employment, helping to break cycles of poverty and building stronger local communities within Colorado. The Adult Education Program Coordinator supports grantees (school districts, non-profits, community colleges, libraries, etc.) that receive federal Adult Education and Family Literacy Act competitive grant funds to efficiently and effectively utilize resources and align funding to strengthen adult education instructional delivery in local workforce areas across Colorado. The Program Coordinator is part of a team of five Coordinators that are responsible for reviewing policies, data, grantee application packages and documentation to ensure compliance with state and federal laws. Technical assistance to grantees includes assisting programs to improve outcomes via phone, email and on-site visits. This is a hybrid position; travel may be required approximately once per month.

The final salary is anticipated to fall within the posted salary range, however could be higher or lower depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities, and other qualifications of the preferred candidate while considering internal equity.

      • DevelopĀ andĀ implementĀ protocolsĀ andĀ strategiesĀ toĀ ensureĀ deliverables/goalsĀ areĀ met.

    • Initiate improvements to operational policies and procedures, making any necessary modifications based on analysis of performance and operational capacity in support of CDEā€™s strategic plan and the Colorado WIOA state plan.

    • Engage with AEIā€™s Adult Education Data Coordinator to ensure actionable and useful monitoring and reporting results are available, includingĀ conductingĀ requiredĀ activitiesĀ andĀ reporting.Ā ResponsibleĀ forĀ understandingĀ theĀ evaluationĀ methodology,Ā reporting,Ā meeting deadlines and communicating about the outcomes.
      • UseĀ dataĀ toĀ assessĀ projectĀ implementationĀ andĀ qualityĀ andĀ guideĀ qualityĀ improvementĀ inĀ collaborationĀ withĀ programĀ partners.
      • Utilize the LACES data management system to support accurate grantee reporting.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONĀ  AND EXPERIENCEĀ  REQUIREMENTS:Ā 

MinimumĀ Education Requirements:

Bachelorā€™s Degree in Education, Higher Education, Social Work or related field; or equivalent work experience.

Competency andĀ Qualification Requirements:

  • Three plus (3+) years Multilingual Learner Instructional experience.
  • Two plus (2+) grant management experience.
  • Experience in conducting program evaluation, including data analysis.
  • Experience with problem solving in a flexible and creative manner.
  • Experience with public speaking or presenting to large groups.
  • Proficient in project management and coordination of services.
  • The ability and willingness to travel.
  • The ability to pass a background check which includes a motor vehicle records search.
  • Preferred - Experience in state or federal grant management.
  • Preferred - Experience collaborating with adult education programs or related education or workforce programs.
  • Preferred - Experience using LiteracyProā€™s LACES data system or other state data systems.
  • Preferred - Experience with case or customer management.
