Job Description

Purpose: The Sr. Human Resources Generalist / DEI Specialist plays a key role in fostering an engaging and positive workplace culture in a remote work environment.ย  Develops and administers programs to promote employee engagement and satisfaction.ย  Takes the lead on employee relations matters, facilitating communication and resolution, as well as creating Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives to support an inclusive work environment. Supports the HR function in other areas as needed.ย ย 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:ย 

Culture & Engagement:ย 

  • Promotes a workplace culture aligned with Lingraphicaโ€™s Core Values of Action, Empowerment, Improvement and Integrityย 
  • Creates and implements initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction and recognition, including surveys and feedback mechanisms; analyzes results reinforcing the positive, and makes recommendations for improvementย 

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion:ย 

  • Provides diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) expertise, staying current on best practices as well as Federal regulationsย 
  • Leads the DEI Workgroup, championing efforts to create an inclusive and respectful workplace and creating opportunities for education and awarenessย 
  • Shapes the DEI strategy in partnership with leadership, Human Resources, the DEI Workgroup, with organizational feedback from employeesย 
  • Reviews policies and practices from a DEI lensย 

Employee Relationsย 

  • Provides guidance to managers and employees on conflict resolution, workplace behavior, and performance improvementย 
  • Fields employee questions and concerns and helps interpret HR policiesย 
  • Investigates and resolves employee relations issues, ensuring adherence to company policies and employment laws; documents findingsย 
  • Evaluates grievance process and educates organization on clear, transparent process for handling complaints and follow upย 
  • Develops and utilizes a tracking system for employee relations issues; analyzes to determine areas for employee and leader education and policy changesย 

Performance Managementย 

  • Provides input into the performance review process and support in administering quarterly reviewsย 
  • Provides managers with tools to effectively manage team performance and support in creating and delivering constructive feedbackย 
  • Coaches managers on the performance improvement process, reviews documentation, and provides feedback guidanceย 

Other HR Supportย 

  • Partners with VP, Human Resources and team on strategy development for HR function that aligns with organizational & DEI objectivesย 
  • Helps identify training needs and collaborates with Sr. Learning and Development Specialist around content and delivery as neededย 
  • Continues education, learning and networking externally to stay current and bring in ideas and best practices to improve our HR programs and toolsย 
  • May conduct exit interviews, reporting and analysis to identify trends; makes recommendations to address issuesย 
  • Collaborates with HR team on other initiatives as neededย 

Qualifications

Education & Experienceโ€ฏย 

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Business, Human Resources or related fieldย 
  • 5 years or more experience in Human Resources with experience in Employee Relationsย 
  • Experience creating Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiativesย 
  • DEI Certification strongly preferredย 
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferredย

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skillsย 
  • Demonstrates good judgmentย 
  • Strategic thinker that is good at connecting the dots and making recommendations that get at the underlying issuesย

  • Strong organizational and time management skillsย 
  • Ability to build trust and maintain effective working relationshipsย 
  • Ability to be flexible and multitask in a rapidly changing environmentโ€ฏโ€ฏย 
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practicesย 
  • High level of professionalism and ability to be respectful and keep sensitive information confidentialย

Work Environment & Physical Demandsโ€ฏย 

Employee works from home and is expected to maintain a safe, productive work environment with secure internet access. Must be able to operate a computer with or without reasonable accommodation.โ€ฏย 

Travelโ€ฏย 

Travel is required toโ€ฏPrinceton, NJ or another location within the US for meetings approximately 2x / year. Other occasional travel may be needed if business needs arise.ย
