The DEI Student Worker supports the Division for Inclusion and Equity by assisting with various initiatives and programs aimed at promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within Saint Mary’s College. This role provides valuable administrative support, helps facilitate events and workshops, and engages in activities that advance DEI objectives on campus.

Key Responsibilities:

Β Administrative Support: Assist with scheduling and coordinating meetings, events, and workshops related to DEI initiatives. Help with preparing and distributing materials, including flyers, brochures, and presentations. Maintain and update databases, spreadsheets, and other records as needed. Event Coordination: Support the planning and execution of DEI-related events, including workshops, seminars, and community outreach programs. Assist with logistical arrangements, including setting up spaces, managing registrations, and ensuring events run smoothly. Communication: Draft and edit communications such as newsletters, emails, and social media posts to promote DEI initiatives and events. Assist with outreach to student organizations, faculty, and staff to encourage participation in DEI programs. Student Engagement: Serve as a point of contact for students seeking information about DEI programs and resources. Facilitate student focus groups or surveys to gather feedback on DEI efforts and identify areas for improvement.Β

Qualifications:Β 

Currently enrolled as a student at Saint Mary’s College Strong interest in and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with social media platforms. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Work Schedule: 10 to 20 hours per weekΒ
