The Strategic Partnerships & Engagement (SP&E) department is responsible for engaging, seeking, and exploring new opportunities with stakeholders from the public, private and people sectors.

As an Assistant Manager / Manager of the SP&E team, you will advocate, build, maintain and track strategic relationships with different stakeholders within and beyond the arts and culture sector, as well as forge new relationships and drive new opportunities for partnerships and collaborations to co-create impact to benefit the arts sector. Your core responsibility will be to build, follow through and evolve strategic alliances with NAC’s stakeholders.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Grow arts philanthropy to develop a sustainable arts ecosystem

    • Support the development of the arts philanthropy landscape by driving awareness on the impact of giving to the arts

    • Analyse data to develop/refine strategies on donor expansion and cultivation for annual and broad-based giving programmes / campaigns

    • Lead campaigns for stART Fund (refresh collaterals, microsite, videos, on-ground activations)

    • Explore strategic partnerships to grow the arts philanthropy landscape

  • Cultivate and engage patrons

    • Develop and cultivate good stakeholder relationships among arts charities and IPCs and donors to generate greater awareness in arts philanthropy via the Sustain the Arts (stART) Fund

    • Plan, manage and organise patron engagements, including but not limited to events and seminars to establish new and cultivate existing patrons

    • Support the pitching and crafting of funding proposals for existing and potential patrons to drive new partnership and collaboration opportunities

    • Manage NAC’s Donor Management System

  • Support initiatives such as stART to grow philanthropy capabilities in the arts sector

    • Supporting stART grantees to achieve intended outcomes through the stART Fund

    • Support grant processing, assessment, completion and closure of stART projects

    • Manage the development of the Impact Evaluation Reports

    • Perform stART Secretariat duties including but not limited to assessment of submissions, meetings scheduling and grant administration

  • Support for Patron of the Arts Awards 2025

    • Assess and evaluate POAA nominations for POAA2025

    • Support with stakeholder and vendor liaison for event

  • Administrative and budget support for SP&E

    • Support and organise meetings with stakeholders/partners at working and management levels

    • Manage vendors to ensure timely delivery of services

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in business development, events, or related fields

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in fundraising or partnership managementΒ  and/or events management

  • Articulate and strong in both verbal and written communications

  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills, and the capacity to develop and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders at all levels

  • Excellent organisational and project management skills

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
