Β 

  • Developing and Implementing Diversity and Inclusion Programs:

This includes designing and implementing initiatives to promote diversity and inclusion across all aspects of the organization, such as recruitment, hiring, training, and employee engagement.Β 

  • Facilitating Diversity Training and Workshops:

Conducting training sessions and workshops to educate employees about cultural diversity, unconscious bias, and inclusive leadership.Β 

  • Monitoring and Assessing Diversity Initiatives:

Evaluating the effectiveness of diversity programs and making recommendations for improvement.Β 

  • Advocating for Diversity and Inclusion:

Serving as a resource and advocate for diversity and inclusion within the organization, working with leadership and HR teams to ensure inclusive practices.Β 

  • Addressing Discrimination and Harassment:

Overseeing employee discrimination and harassment complaints and implementing strategies to prevent such incidents.Β 

  • Supporting Employee Resource Groups (ERGs):

Facilitating the creation and activities of ERGs, which are employee-led groups that support underrepresented groups within the organization.Β 

  • Creating an Inclusive Workplace:

Promoting a culture of respect, understanding, and belonging for all employees, regardless of their background or identity.Β 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

The ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and build relationships.Β 

  • Knowledge of Diversity and Inclusion Principles:

Understanding of relevant concepts, such as unconscious bias, microaggressions, and inclusive leadership.Β 

  • Experience in Designing and Implementing Diversity Programs:

Experience in developing and implementing diversity and inclusion initiatives.Β 

  • Familiarity with Employment Laws and Regulations:

Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to diversity and inclusion.Β 

  • Cultural Competence:

The ability to understand and appreciate cultural differences and to communicate effectively across cultures.Β 

  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:

The ability to identify and address issues related to diversity and inclusion.Β 

  • Project Management Skills:

The ability to manage diversity and inclusion projects effectively.Β 

  • Leadership Skills:

The ability to lead and motivate others to promote diversity and inclusion.Β

Qualifications

Β Minimum Qualifications:Β 

  1. (5) years in the teaching lectures:
    1. One (1) year’s continuous, full-time or its equivalent experience
  2. The equivalent of one (1) year’s teaching experience
  3. Ability to work in a diverse environment.Β Β 
  4. Fluent in spoken and written English.
  5. Excellent planning and organizational

Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Cultural Studies:

Provides a broad overview of cultural theories, practices, and their social and historical context.Β 

Bachelor of Science (BS) in Anthropology or Sociology:

Offers a strong foundation in understanding human societies, cultures, and social structures.Β 

Master of Arts (MA) in Cultural Studies or Diversity Studies:

Allows for a deeper dive into specific areas of cultural diversity, such as race, ethnicity, gender, or social Β justice.Β 

Master of Science (MS) in Multicultural Studies in Education:

Focuses on the knowledge and skills needed to work with diverse learners and their families.Β 

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in a relevant field:

Enables in-depth research and specialization
