We are looking for a Diversity and Inclusion Manager to join our Talent Management team. The Diversity and Inclusion Leader will lead Citrin Cooperman's efforts to foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace. This role will be responsible for creating and executing strategic initiatives that drive diversity, inclusion, and belonging across the organization. The Leader will work closely with the Citrin Cooperman leadership team, human resources, and employees at all levels to implement programs that promote a culture of respect, collaboration, and inclusion, aligning with the Firm's mission and values.

As a Diversity and Inclusion Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Strategy Development and Execution
    • Develop and lead the firm’s diversity and inclusion strategy in alignment with business objectives.
    • Partner with senior leadership to set measurable DEI goals and monitor progress toward achieving them.
    • Design and implement programs and initiatives that promote a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
    • Ensure that the firm complies with all applicable diversity-related legal requirements and reporting.
  • Recruitment and Retention
    • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to develop recruitment strategies that attract diverse talent at all levels of the organization.
    • Collaborate with Talent Management to implement initiatives that increase the retention of underrepresented employees, including employee resource groups (ERGs), mentorship programs, and career development opportunities.
    • Ensure hiring practices are inclusive and free from bias by training hiring managers.
  • Employee Engagement and Culture
    • Foster an inclusive workplace environment where employees from all backgrounds feel valued, respected, and heard.
    • Act as a key advisor on issues related to diversity, inclusion, cultural competence, and equity.
    • Oversee CC EDGE including the planning and execution of inclusive and diversity events, programs, and training sessions, such as workshops on unconscious bias, inclusive leadership, and allyship. This also includes providing a framework and support for ERGs, ensuring alignment with the firm’s overall diversity and inclusion goals.
  • Education & Training
    • Partner with Learning and Development teams to integrate diversity and inclusion principles into employee training programs.
    • Develop and facilitate DEI-related training and professional development for leadership and employees, with a focus on building cultural competency and inclusive practices.
    • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in diversity and inclusion and ensure that the Firm remains a leader in the accounting and professional services industry.
  • Metrics and Reporting
    • Establish and track diversity and inclusion metrics, including recruitment, retention, pay equity, and employee engagement, and report regularly to senior leadership.
    • Conduct regular diversity audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and measure progress.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or related field required.
  • 7+ years of experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion roles, with at least 2 years in a senior level position.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing diversity and inclusion strategies and programs.
  • Strong understanding of diversity-related concepts and legal requirements (e.g., EEOC, affirmative action, ADA).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously, with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to inspire, lead change, and drive diversity and inclusion initiatives across the firm.
  • Ability to develop long-term strategies that align with the firm's goals.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work across departments.
  • Ability to articulate diversity and inclusion concepts and strategies clearly and persuasively.
  • Deep understanding of various cultural, ethnic, and social backgrounds, with sensitivity to diverse experiences.
  • Ability to anticipate challenges and develop creative, actionable solutions.
