Proskauer is seeking a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Intern that serves as a key member of the firmwide diversity initiative during their internship. Reporting to the Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and working closely with other members of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Team, the Intern will support the team by executing various administrative functions associated with the Firm’s diversity, equity and inclusion programming.



Responsibilities
  • Provide event assistance and administrative support for all DEI programming, including professional development and training, recruiting, and affinity network events
  • Help coordinate logistics pertaining to our high school pipeline program, Legal Outreach, additionally serving as a mentor to high school students
  • Provide administrative and program support for the Firm's Mentoring Circle Program and Pipeline Initiative Program
  • Update and maintain diversity marketing materials and help develop content for the Firm’s diversity web page
  • Assist the DEI team with diversity data related requests, including audits, rosters, and other projects on an ad hoc basis
  • Maintain the DEI team's various diversity listservs
  • Assist the DEI team with ad hoc research projects upon request


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in progress
  • Internship or experience working in a professional services environment or law firm preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently and with high degree of attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple, time‐sensitive tasks effectively and work well in a high‐pressure environment, with a wide range of professionals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‐paced and client service‐oriented environment


This internship will run from June 2, 2025 through July 25, 2025. 

This position will require physical presence in Proskauer’s offices on a regular basis (at least 3x per week, or more, if it becomes the policy of the Firm or as business needs require). The anticipated compensation for this position is $17.50 per hour. The actual salary offered will be based on a number of factors including but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
