The Director, DEIB is the regional D&I subject matter expert (SME) who collaborates with the regional leaders, operation leaders, human resources, and the Enterprise Office of DEIB to ensure alignment with DEIB Strategy and the initiatives across Jefferson.
The Director, DEIB will guide the Regional DEIB game plans that align with the Enterprise DEIB Strategy. They will be the guides to the Culture Councils and a member of other key stakeholderβs councils/committees within the enterprise/regional enterprise units they support.
The Director, DEIB is responsible for analyzing data, reporting opportunities and priorities and providing the tools for education/development, observances, ERG connections, community experiences and socializing and reporting out. They will be responsible to support the creation of a diverse workforce and create the culture where all employees, patients and students feel they are being heard and feel a sense of belonging.
The Director, DEIB serves as a partner and consultant to HR Business Partner (HRBP) along with Compliance and/or Legal with any issues requiring attention connecting to bias or discrimination.

β’ Strategy and Operations:
o Collaborates with leadership, faculty, staff, patients, and students to develop programs that strengthen the culture of inclusion, belonging, and engagement by active participation and SME guidance to Jefferson employee resource groups and DEIB/Culture Councils.
o Engages with various stakeholders within their enterprise/regional enterprise unit to understand their needs and areas of focus to ensure alignment operations and support.
o Collaborate with Community Impact and Procurement to enhance supplier diversity strategy to ensure intentional and meaningful economic inclusion strategy for Jefferson to invest in marginalized businesses within the communities served.
o Collaborates with the enterprise/enterprise unit leadership team to foster a sustainable culturally welcoming and socially accountable environment where everyone feels seen, heard, respected, engaged and has a sense of belonging.
β’ Professional Development and Training:
o Designs, facilitates and schedules DEIB training and professional development opportunities for leadership, faculty, staff, patients, and students as needed in collaboration with key stakeholders.
o Works closely with operation leadership, human resources β learning and organization development, and the Enterprise Office of DEIB to promote culturally competent training, supporting a climate of equity, inclusion, and belonging.
β’ Helps Drive the development of the Local councils and their programs
β’ Support and Influence Leaders as Advocates and Sponsors of DEIB
β’ Leadership and Analytics:
o Serves as a central source and point of coordination for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives.
o Strong skills to report out opportunities and priorities based on data analytics, presentation skills and articulation thru story telling.
Job Description
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required):
- Proven experience in relationship management
- Proven experience in project management or process efficiency preferred
- Experience in gathering, analyzing, and reporting statistical data.
- Strong experience with multiple project management, excel and data analytics
- Skill in verbal and written communication skills (PowerPoint, presentation skills)
- Ability to plan, operationalize, deploy and monitor programs.
- Ability to influence at various levels; especially Sr Leadership
- Ability to perform as a partner and collaborator in a team environment and coordinate a wide range of internal and external programmatic activities.

Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred
